Funding Accessible Transportation: Eastern Propane & Oil Makes Largest NH CDFA Tax Credit Donation to Date, Supporting Accessible Transportation at Great Bay Services
Great Bay Services members pose with new vehicles purchased through NH CDFA tax credit funding.
Rochester, NH – October 24, 2025
Eastern Propane purchased a significant amount of Great Bay Services’ 2025 New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (NH CDFA) Tax Credits, as Great Bay Services enters their 2026 NH CDFA Tax Credit season.
As the largest donor to date in Great Bay Services’ accessible transportation project through the NH CDFA Tax Credit Program, Eastern Propane & Oil played a vital role in the purchase of their first four vehicles.
In March of 2025, Eastern Propane & Oil purchased $36,000 in NH CDFA Tax Credits, empowering Great Bay Services to solidify the purchase of four new vehicles, transporting individuals of all abilities to participate in their communities to the fullest degree.
“When our members come to us with a personal goal or volunteer initiative that takes them over an hour away, we’re no longer asking the question: how are we going to transport them?” said Jon Stimmell, Executive Director of Great Bay Services. In the past, Great Bay Services relied on the personal vehicles of their Direct Support Professionals, increasing mileage costs and the barriers to recruiting new staff.
“We want to continue to be at the forefront of innovation in our field, and step up to the plate for our members,” continued Stimmell, “Eastern Propane and the NH CDFA have supported us through this endeavor in the most critical way, and we’re excited to see what’s to come for Great Bay Services and our community.”
