General Questions


1: What type of services do you provide?

We provide Case Management Supports, Community Supports, Employment Supports, and Independent Living Program. You can learn more about each of these programs under our Services section.

2: How can I support you?

You can support us in many ways!
- Interacting with us in the community or online
- Offering in-kind or cash donations
- Attending our events
- Sharing with your contacts about us and the work we do
- Offering us to join you at an event, class, or experience

3: Do you have group homes, assist in finding housing, or provide respite services?

We do not provide housing assistance or respite. We do not have any group homes anymore, although we did in the past. 

4: Do you mandate vaccines?

We do not at this time.

5: Are you accepting new program participants?

Yes! Please reach out to the program manager for more details.

6: Are you affiliated with any of the other "Great Bay" companies?

Although we may share a similar name, we are not a part of any of the other Great Bay companies in the area. We have started volunteering at the Great Bay Wildlife Garden seasonally as of 2022.

Program Specific Questions


1: What does this acronym mean?

There are many acronyms in our profession. We are working on collecting a list of commonly used acronyms and their meanings. We will share this list as soon as we have it done.

2: What is a DSP? What do they do?

DSP stands for Direct Support Professional. As a Direct Support Professional or DSP for short, we work directly with people with disabilities to achieve their potential based off their skill sets and goals.

We provide a service tailored to each individual, assisting, guiding and encouraging our participant or member to work on or complete a certain task, skill, or job. 

 The specific work we do can very, depending on the person, goal and what Supports Team you are on.
 
At Great Bay Services our DSP Teams provide services in a large variety of settings from artistic or fitness based activities to grocery shopping, nutrition, and cooking classes to assisting at a jobsite and more based on the program they are a part of.
