Great Bay Services is a human service’s agency offering support for adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We currently have an exciting opportunity waiting for you to join our team as a Job Coach/Direct Support Professional. In this position, you will play a vital and positive role in helping the individuals we serve to achieve their fullest potential as well as building employment relationships that contribute to a high quality of life. Are you ready to step into this rewarding career?

Successful candidates will be ethical, patient, reliable, and adaptable, and be able to work independently. A Direct Support Professional Certification is required (a Job Coaching credential is preferred, but training is available), valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, reliable vehicle, clean driving record, and criminal background check with no findings are a requirement for this position. Critical Skills:
  • Organization: Highly organized and detailed oriented.
  • Communication: Professional and respectful with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Creativity: Innovative problem solver who can actively work with individuals and their employers to create a positive work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required by this position include:
  • Provide instructional support while assisting members with the implementation of their yearly Employment goals as defined in their person centered plan.
  • Encouraging independence at all times.
  • Assure safety of members at all times.
  • Timely completion of all required paper work, i.e. daily notes, progress notes, and incident reports.
  • Be a positive role model as a strong advocate towards member’s right to choose.
  • Attend and complete all assigned trainings and in-service opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings.
  • Work with direct supervisor to ensure that all member needs regarding Employment are being met.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds or more.
  • Work in various seasonal weather conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and valid vehicle inspection sticker.
  • Carry mandatory auto insurance of no less than 100K/300K.
  • CRMA preferred, but not required.
