Funding Accessible Transportation: Meredith Village Savings Bank Purchases NH CDFA Tax Credits to Fund Accessible Transportation at Great Bay Services

Picture
Meredith Village Savings Bank welcomes Great Bay Services staff, members, and funded vehicles at their Exeter, NH bank branch.

Exeter, NH – October 24, 2025

Access to transportation can change lives, and thanks to Meredith Village Savings Bank, that change is now in motion for individuals at Great Bay Services.

Through a generous contribution through the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (NH CDFA) tax credit program, Meredith Village Savings Bank helped fund vehicles purchased by Great Bay Services to serve individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and autism in New Hampshire.

The vehicles purchased through this funding now serve approximately 50% of NH Great Bay Services members, providing safe, dependable transportation to community events, volunteer initiatives, and enrichment opportunities.

“These vehicles are essential to the function and innovation of our NH programming,” shared Jon Stimmell, Great Bay Services Executive Director. “Meredith Village Savings Bank has increased our members’ ability to access the community, and that is a truly priceless gift.”

Meredith Village Savings Bank goes above and beyond when it comes to caring for their communities. Explore their community support by visiting https://www.mvsb.com/about/community-involvement/.

DEI Statement

Great Bay Services was founded at the time that the US civil rights movement was being born and see our history as being tied to the fight for justice and equity. Throughout our 70-year history we have evolved and grown alongside major diversity legislations and societal changes. Disability is the forefront of our organization, but we encourage and celebrate all forms of diversity, fostering equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility for all. Creating an inclusive community where everyone has access to equal opportunities and feels they belong is vital to us as an organization – not just within Great Bay Services but in the world around us. We welcome and encourage all to live happy and healthy lives no matter who they are, where they come from, what they look like, their gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, or age.
